Hello Everyone,

     Welcome to the home page for TEAM JB!!  J.B. is currently attending preschool at Farmington Elementary here in Germantown, TN.  He absolutely loves school and seems to be doing very well, despite a few instances of acting up here and there (no idea where he gets that from).  He knows his entire alphabet, upper and lower case letters, as well as the numbers 1-20. We also hear that he is very active in circle time and in music.  We are so proud of him and are reminded everyday of how blessed we are by the gift of his life. 

     J.B. has had an amazing summer!!  He had a great time in the sand and water on our vacation trip to Florida.  And he even rode a jet ski at Greer's Ferry Lake in Arkansas!!  He loves to throw (although sometimes he throws the wrong things) and has developed quite an arm for a 5 year old.  J.B. and his sister, Bailey, have been playing so well together.  They run, play, and tickle each other.  It's quite cute until they bump heads, which seems to be quite often.  

     STEP UP for Down Syndrome is the largest disability awareness event in the Mid-South. This local Mid-South celebration is a fun, family-friendly event that includes live entertainment, a picnic, children’s activities, and team and individual prizes.The event includes a one-mile walk that leads participants through the beautiful Memphis Botanic Garden. As you STEP UP you are showing the community that people with Down syndrome lead meaningful lives. Right here in the Mid-South people with Down syndrome are accomplishing amazing things everyday! In addition, STEP UP for Down Syndrome raises the funds that enable DSAM to operate year round.
