Near and dear to my heart are my clients with Down syndrome. I continue to use my photographic talents to capture and showcase the beauty of Down syndrome, along with supporting the Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City.

Though, Pete and I have participated and walked for the last three years, last year was our first year with our very own team…the Photography by Brandi Team! We had a total of seven team members, including ourselves. I could not have been more excited with the turnout and support!

This year, though, I have the goal of topping last year’s team! To do this, I need all of your help and support! Join the Photography by Brandi team and walk with us. It’s an amazing day, and definitely worth being a part of!

Not only will you be supporting all of our adorable clients, but you will be supporting an awesome local organization, the Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City (DSG).

The Step Up for Down Syndrome walk promotes acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and recognition of their many gifts, talents and contributions to society. All funds raised at the walk stay in the Kansas City area, and benefit DSG.

DSG serves over 1100 families, 22 hospitals and 45 school districts in Kansas and Missouri. Each step taken, and every dollar raised, will help DSG continue to provide emotional, educational and social support to people with Down syndrome, their families and the professionals who serve them. Important work needs to be done to enhance research, education and advocacy programs for people of all ages. Your support is vital to make these programs a reality.

This year’s walk will be here before we know it!! Please help me, by supporting me or joining me at the 2010 Step Up for Down Syndrome walk.

This year the walk will be a one mile walk around the newly renovated Arrowhead Stadium. The festivities take place from 9 AM-1 PM with the walk starting at 11:45 AM on Saturday, September 25th.
